Hört nie auf zu üben...

 Hallo, liebe Copic-Fans,
 Hello, dear Copic fans,
am vergangenen Samstag habe ich zum ersten Mal die Kurse Spezielle Techniken 1 & 2 des European Copic Colouring Programs unterrichtet.
Im Fokus dieser Kurse sind das Kolorieren von Falten und  natürlicher Haare, daher habe ich es für eine gute Idee gehalten, beides etwas zu üben. Das tue ich gerne an etwas größeren Formaten als für Karten. Vor einiger Zeit hatte ich mir doch ein "Malbuch" angelegt, in dem ich Motive nur für mich und nur aus Spaß am Kolorieren aufbewahre. Da ich selber keine Motive zeichnen kann, bin ich sehr froh darüber, dass es  auf www.deviantart.com eine Anzahl von talentierten Künstlern gibt, die  ihre Zeichnungen zur freien Verwendung anbieten.

Last Saturday, I taught my first classes of Special Techniques 1 & 2 of the European Copic Colouring Program. In the main focus of these classes are the colouring of folds/pleads and natural hair, so I thought it a good idea to do a bit of practising. My favourite way for this is colouring images of a bit larger seize than images for cards. Some time ago, I started a Coloring Book for me, just for the joy of colouring. As I can't draw these images myself, I am happy that there is a number of talented artists at www.deviantart.com who offer their line-art for free use.

Hello, dear Readers,

ich gebe ja zu, dass diese Valentinskarte, die ich gestern auf dem Copic Marker Deutschland Blog gezeigt habe, der mit dem Motiv von Mo Manning sehr ähnlich ist, das liegt insbesondere daran, dass ich auch wieder diese tollen 

Papiere von Maja Design verwendet habe.
Ist es nicht super, dass das Herzchen-Muster des Rockes

exakt zu dem Papier mit den Herzchen passt?

I do admit that this Valentine's card, that I showed on the Copic Marker Deutschland Blog yesterday,  is quite similar to the one with the image from Mo Manning, but that is mainly due to the fact that I used the 

beautiful paper from Maja Desing for this card, too.

Isn't it great, that the design of her skirt matches the design of 

the paper with the hearts?

eigentlich habe ich mit Valentinstag nicht viel am Hut, aber dieses süße Motiv von Mo Manning passt so toll dazu, da musste es einfach sein.

Normally, I am not into Valentine's Day, but this image from Mo Manning is so sweet, it simply had to be.

Biker Babe

Hallo, liebe Leser,
Hello, dear Readers,

heute habe ich eine besondere Karte für euch, die ich für die Eltern eines Neugeborenen gemacht habe. Der junge Vater ist ein großer Fan von Rock-Musik, daher dachte ich, dass dieses Motiv für die Geburt ihres Sohnes perfekt ist.

Today , I want to show you a special card I made for the parents of a newborn child. The young father is a big fan of rock music, so I thought that this image is just perfect for the birth of their son.

Das Motiv heißt "Biker Babe", ist ein Digi von Mo Manning und ich mag es wirklich sehr. Natürlich kann man zu so einem Motiv nicht die traditionellen Jungen-Baby-Farben verwenden, ich habe daher Papiere von WeRMemoryKeepers verwendet, die wie ein T-Shirt bzw. wie ein Holzfällerhemd aussehen. Damit die Jeans des Kleinen einen "used look" bekommt, habe ich sie mit dem Colorless Blender bearbeitet.

The image is "Biker Babe", a digital from Mo Manning and I really like it very much.

Of course, you can not make a card with traditional baby-boy-colours when you use this kind of image, so I choose papers from WeRMemoryKeepers that look like a t-shirt and a lumberjackshirt.

To make the babe's jeans look used I worked on it with the Colorless Blender.

Da auf dem Motiv auch mehrere Baby-Fläschchen abgebildet sind, habe ich einen kleinen Flaschen-Charm verwendet. Da das verwendete Band sehr dick ist, habe ich den Charm mit einem Stück ungewachster Zahnseide befestigt, die ich mit B79 eingefärbt habe.

Because there are several baby bottles in the image, I added a little baby bottle charm. The ribbon is very thick, so I had to fasten the bottle with a piece of  unwaxed silk floss I had coloured with B79.
