Heidi wieder im Schnee

Hallo liebe Copic-Fans,

Hello dear Copic fans,

wir haben fast Ende Oktober, Weihnachten ist nicht mehr weit und wird - wie jedes Jahr - ganz überraschend vor der Tür stehen. Ich habe daher mit der Produktion von Winter- und Weihnachtskarten begonnen, unter anderem mit der süßen Heid von Sylvia Zet für Wee Stamps. Heidi ist ein Digi, aber inzwischen gibt es sie auch als Gummistempel.

We are almost at the end of October, so Christmas is just around the corner and will be here surprisingly fast as every year. So I started my production of Winter and Christmas cards with Heidi, one of the sweet images from Sylvia Zet for Wee Stamps. Heidi is a digi, but she is available as rubber stamp, too.

Das tolle Papier ist "Winterzauber" von Ursus, ich liebe diese Farbkombination! Die Schneeflocke hat mein Craft Robo geschnitten und es ist eine Menge Stickles "Diamond" auf der Karte, das liebe ich auch! Der Textstempel ist von Whiff of Joy, es gibt dort deutsche und auch englische Texte.

The lovely paper is from Ursus, it is called "Winterzauber" and I really love that colour-combo! My Craft Robo cut the snowflake and there is a lot of Stickles "Diamond" on this card - I love this, too. The sentiment is from Whiff of Joy. They have sentiments in German and in English, too.

Halloween geht auch sehr niedlich

Bin wieder da/I am back...

Hallo, liebe Leser!
Hello, dear Readers,

Vielen lieben Dank für die tröstenden und aufmunternden Worte zum Tod meines Vaters, das hat mir sehr geholfen. Ich wusste zwar, dass seine Zeit wegen einer Krebserkrankung bemessen sein würde, aber damit, dass es so schnell gehen würde, hatten wir alle nicht gerechnet.
Thanks for the comforting and encouraging  words concerning my father's death, it helped me a lot. I knew that his time was linited, because he suffered from cancer, but none of us would have expected this to happen so fast.

An dieser Karte habe ich gerade gebastelt, als heute vor drei Wochen der Anruf kam, dass ich umgehend zu meiner Familie nach Berlin kommen müsse.
Auch wenn ich in der enstehenden Hektik offenbar den Zettel mit den verwendeten Copics in den Müll geworfen habe, möchte ich euch doch die heute fertiggestellte Karte zeigen. Mein Vater hätte bestimmt gewollt, dass ich sobald wie möglich zur "Normalität" übergehe.
Three weeks ago, when I received the call from my family to come to Berlin urgently, I have been working on this card. Somehow I lost the note with the Copics I used, but I want to show it to you anyway. My father surely would have wanted me to go back to "normal" as soon as possible.

Schnee

Ich wünsche euch allen einen schönen zweiten Weihnachtsfeiertag! Da es ja in diesem Jahr mal wieder keine weißen Weihnachten gibt, gibt es wenigstens bei der Challenge von stamps&fun=CREATIVITY Schnee als neue Herausforderung! Allerdings nehmen wir, das Designteam,  uns mit dieser Challenge einen kleinen Urlaub, sie dauert ausnahmsweise mal zwei Wochen!

I wish you a Merry Christmas! Here in Germany we have two holidays, today is the second. Because there is no white Chistmas here again,  at least there is snow as new challenge at stamps&fun=CREATIVITY. We, the design team, take a very little time off from the challenge, it will last two weeks this time!

My last card for the Copic Marker Europe Blog for this year is very girly pink. This becomes sweet Heidi - created by Sylvia Zet for Wee Stamps - very well, don't you think so, too?

Ich habe die große Schneeflocke mit meinem Craft Robo ausgeschnitten, die Schnleeflockenbordüre ist ein Stanzer von Martha Stewart. Das Hintergrundpapier ist aus dem Paket "Penelope & Percy" von docraft.
I cut the big snowflake with my Craft Robo, the snowflake border is a punch from Martha Stewart. The designer paper is from docraft's stack "Penelope & Percy".

Für die Coloration habe ich nicht viele Copics gebraucht:

Ihr seht also, man braucht nicht notwendigerweise alle 346 Copic Sketch Marker um eine nette Coloration hinzubekommen.
So you can see that you do not necessarily need all 346 Copic Sketch Marker for a nice colouring

Perlen gehören neben Bändern zu meinen liebsten Embellishments. Sie sind ab heute das neue Thema bei stamps&fun=CREATIVITY!

Eiserne Hochzeit

Die Karte, die ich euch heute zeigen möchte, habe ich für einen ganz besonderen Anlass gemacht: Den 65. Hochzeitstag meiner Eltern, ihre Eiserne Hochzeit!

The card I want to show you today has been made for a very special occasion: My parent's 65th Wedding Anniversary! In Germany, we say it is the "Iron Wedding".

Ich habe sehr lange über das Projekt nachgedacht, hatte so gar keine Idee, bis ich das süße Motiv "Bird Swing" von Wee Stamps gesehen habe - da wusste ich, das ist perfekt! Meine Eltern sind schon seit vielen Jahren Hobby-Ornithologen und - was noch viel wichtiger für meine Entscheidung war - sie haben dieses Bild auf der Einladungskarte für ihre Feier verwendet:

I have been thinking about this project for a very long time, because I had absolutely no idea, but then I saw the sweet image "Bird Swing" from Wee Stamps, I knew at once that this is just perfect! My parents have been hobby-ornithologists for many years and - even more important for my decision - this is the picture they used on the invitation for their celebration:
 

Sind sie nicht süß, meine kleinen alten Leutchen?

Aren't they sweet, my little old folks?

Das Designpapier, das ich verwendet habe, heißt "Mr. & Mrs." und ist von Best Creation Inc. Die Blüten darauf glitzern schon wie mit Stickles bearbeitet. Ich habe Stickles "Star Dust" auf die Rosen aufgetragen, aber das ist schwierig zu fotografieren.
Das ist auch der Grund, warum ich keine weiteren Embellishments verwendet habe, das Papier ist sooo hübsch und ich wollte die Aufmerksamkeit auf das Motiv fixieren.
The Designpaper I used is "Mr. & Mrs." by Best Creation Inc.
 The flowers are glittering as if I had used stickles on them, but that was already in the paper. I applied a little bit of stickles "Star Dust" to the roses, it is difficult to show it on the photo. That is why I decided not to use any embellishments, the paper is sooo pretty and I wanted the focus on the image.


Die beiden Vögelchen sind ausschließlich mit warmen Grautönen coloriert, ich habe nur ihr die Wangen mit R20 ein wenig angehaucht. Die Schaukel hat einen eisengrauen Schimmer, weil ich sie mit atyou Spica Silver coloriert habe.
The two birdies have been coloured using only warm grey-tones, I just added a sweet little blush to her cheeks with R20. The swing has an iron shimmer, because I used atyou Spica silver on it.

Auf der Innenseite ist der Glückwunsch, ich habe ihn und seinen Schatten mit meinem Craft Robo ausgeschnitten und mit atyou Spica Black coloriert. Der Platz auf der rechten Seite ist für die vielen Unterschriften der Familie, sie werden mit goldenen und silbernen Gel-Stiften unterschreiben.

On the inside, there is the sentiment, I cut it and it's shadow with my Craft Robo and colourerd it with atyou Spica Black. The space on the right side is for all the autographs of the family, they will use golden and silver gel-pens.

Die gelbe Aura um die Vögel ist Pastellkreide.

The yellow aura around the birds is pastell chalk.

Herbst/autumn für stamps&fun=CREATIVITY

Autumn Happiness ist der Name dieses süßen Motivs der Designerin Sylvia Zett von Wee Stamps und ich finde, der kleine Drachen sieht wirklich total glücklich aus. Für die Coloration habe ich mehrere Anläufe gebracht, anfangs bin ich zu farbintensiv herangegangen. Die zarte Gestaltung gefällt mir viel besser zu den kräftigen Herbstfarben.

Autumn Happiness is the name of this sweet image created by the desinger Sylvia Zett for Wee Stamps and to me, the little dragon looks very happy. For the coloring I needed several attempts because I started with colours that were too strong. This tender colouring matches the bright autumn colours better.

Das Hintergrundpapier gab es vor kurzem beim Discounter, es ist echt schön, nicht wahr? Es glitzert auch ganz toll.

I bought the designpaper at a discounter recently, it is beautiful, isn't it? It is glittering very nice.

Hier habe ich ein weiteres der süßen Motive von Wee Stamps verarbeitet, es heißt Wee Florist:

Das wunderschöne Papier ist von First Edition, meiner derzeitigen Lieblingfirma. Der Block heißt "Hideaway".

The marvellous designpaper is from my favourite designer "First Edition". The stack's name is "Hideaway".

Bei der Coloration habe ich mit einem Farbschatten experimentiert, aber so richtig begeistert bin ich davon nicht.

I tried to apply a coloured shadow to the colouring, but I am not really happy with it.

Der Sketch ist von Sketchy Colors, ich nehme mit der Karte auch bei der Challenge der Creative Cardcrew teil, dort heißt das Thema "Best Foot Forward", das heißt soviel wie das, was man am besten kann.

Sweet Blossom

Das ist meine nächste Karte für den Copic Marker Europe Blog. Mir gefallen die Hintergrundbilder unseres Blogs so gut, dass ich mir mehrere der süßen Motive gekauft habe. Heute habe ich "Sweet Blossom" verwendet.
Today it is my turn again to show a card at the Copic Marker Europe Blog. I love our blog's background-images and so I just had to buy some of them. Today I used "Sweet Blossom".

Die Farben habe ich - wie ich das eigentliche immer mache - nach dem Papier ausgesucht, das ich verwenden wollte. Früher habe ich das nicht gemacht, habe einfach drauflos coloriert und hinterher verzweifelt nach passendem Papier gesucht.

I have chosen the colours - as I always do - matching the paper I wanted to use. In the past I did not work that way, I just coloured the image as I thought pretty and then searched my stash desperately for matching papers.

Dieses Mal hatte ich Probleme mit den Embellishments. Ich hatte einfach keine passenden Halbperlen für das Zentrum der Blumen. Das ist aber kein wirkliches Problem, solange man weiße Perlen und Copic Marker hat. Hier habe ich die weiße Perle einfach mit dem dunkelsten Farbton angemalt, den ich für die Blumen auf dem Motiv verwendet habe, das war BG18.

This time I had problems to find a matching halfpearl for the centres of the flowers, but this is no real problem as long as you have white halfpearls and Copic Markers. I painted a white halfpearl with the darkest shade I had used for the flowers on the image. That was BG18.

Um den selbstgestanzten Blumen mehr Tiefe zu geben, habe ich auch sie mit Copic Marker (BG10, BG18) coloriert. Hierbei muss man immer bedenken, dass sich das Papier anders verhält als das, was ich zum Coloriern verwende. Versucht es am besten zuerst auf einem Schnipsel.

To add some depth to the flowers I punched myself, I coloured them with Copic Marker (BG10, BG18). If you want to do this too, please keep in mind that the flower's paper might not blend as good as the paper you use to colour the images. It is better try on a scrap of the paper first.

Blumenstanzer/Flowerpunch: "Foral Punch" Nellie Snellen
