Sweet Blossom

Das ist meine nächste Karte für den Copic Marker Europe Blog. Mir gefallen die Hintergrundbilder unseres Blogs so gut, dass ich mir mehrere der süßen Motive gekauft habe. Heute habe ich "Sweet Blossom" verwendet.
Today it is my turn again to show a card at the Copic Marker Europe Blog. I love our blog's background-images and so I just had to buy some of them. Today I used "Sweet Blossom".

Die Farben habe ich - wie ich das eigentliche immer mache - nach dem Papier ausgesucht, das ich verwenden wollte. Früher habe ich das nicht gemacht, habe einfach drauflos coloriert und hinterher verzweifelt nach passendem Papier gesucht.

I have chosen the colours - as I always do - matching the paper I wanted to use. In the past I did not work that way, I just coloured the image as I thought pretty and then searched my stash desperately for matching papers.

Dieses Mal hatte ich Probleme mit den Embellishments. Ich hatte einfach keine passenden Halbperlen für das Zentrum der Blumen. Das ist aber kein wirkliches Problem, solange man weiße Perlen und Copic Marker hat. Hier habe ich die weiße Perle einfach mit dem dunkelsten Farbton angemalt, den ich für die Blumen auf dem Motiv verwendet habe, das war BG18.

This time I had problems to find a matching halfpearl for the centres of the flowers, but this is no real problem as long as you have white halfpearls and Copic Markers. I painted a white halfpearl with the darkest shade I had used for the flowers on the image. That was BG18.

Um den selbstgestanzten Blumen mehr Tiefe zu geben, habe ich auch sie mit Copic Marker (BG10, BG18) coloriert. Hierbei muss man immer bedenken, dass sich das Papier anders verhält als das, was ich zum Coloriern verwende. Versucht es am besten zuerst auf einem Schnipsel.

To add some depth to the flowers I punched myself, I coloured them with Copic Marker (BG10, BG18). If you want to do this too, please keep in mind that the flower's paper might not blend as good as the paper you use to colour the images. It is better try on a scrap of the paper first.

Blumenstanzer/Flowerpunch: "Foral Punch" Nellie Snellen
